The average temperature ranges from -13 °C (9 °F) in January to 25 °C (77 °F) in July; in summer, it can sometimes exceed 40 °C (104 °F), while in winter it can plunge to -30 °C (-22 °F). July is the warmest month in China extending till early October. The coldest month is January in China.
